VHS Friday.

VHS Friday.
SIGHTUNSEEN
Transworld Video #12
2001
A very strong VHS this Friday with some of the most incredible skateboarders from different styles..
The montages in these videos were just as important as the parts. Setting new benchmarks for spots every video.
It even ends with Bob doing the loop switch for the first time.
You should go watch this whole thing but I've linked parts, that are my most memorable..

JOHN CARDIEL
Cardiel has the Gonz introduce his part. It is done nicely, it really explains the essence of Cardiel. Backed by rad slow motion footage of Cards bunny hopping some dirt bmx jumps...
Only to be blasted with some funky Reggae, challenging the traditional sound barrier as  Cardiel pushes the street spots and lofting across massive parks. To me it always felt like he was in the desert.  Leaping mountains and leaning back on Stale-fishes across the fucking sky.
His footage is wild. like a whirlpool it mixes all a pool, park, hubby  ditch, park, rails and everything else pretty much imaginable.
First watching this I lost it !! His body challenged firstly by a school yard bank where he looses his footing and then slides his face and shoulder across the yard.
Next up he runs 4 to 5 steps down a big white handrail that he is trying to 5050, and brutally sacks  himself at the end.
Each trick,  even after those brutal slams he fucking makes it and does with optimum style. John Cardiel is a fucking lord. Watch him grind the infamous SF rail..
Tough as fuck the whole way...
HENRY SANCHEZ
Henry's part is super fresh and brings back the OG EMB vibe with ledge variations and a crisp track from Cali Agents..
Tech style DC lynx yellow hat, pier 7 manual mind blowers, Fakie Heel Fakie Manual Up for example...and some dope ledge lines with Sanchez butter on top. Marcus McBride  is in it too with one of the nicest flat ground Backside flips.
Dope SF vibe in this tight section..
TOSH TOWNEND
Tosh was at his peak at this point... I felt. Just before he fucked his ankle and went down a more rasta path I guess.. His part was insane! Full of rails and huge everything.Challenging skate ground as much as his adolescences.  I figure Tosh would be like 12 foot tall by now. Each part I saw he was bigger as were his tricks.
DUSTIN DOLLIN
SCOTCH, BOURBON AND WHISKEY.
THIS PART FUCKING GOES HARD.
KNOX, HERMAN, TERRY, REYNOLDS are all in this mix.
KICKFLIP FS blunt FLINDERS WAS ALL TIME!
This shit made us want fling our carcasses down everything possible.. optimum speed and zero fucks given.
HEATH KIRCHART
Heaths part is always an inspirational and crucial part to us skateboarders. Like any Rowley part, Penny part, Reynolds part a new benchmark is set... Skateboarding  instantly changed, becoming more developed and grounded after there parts.
With the tone set to the track ' Nights In White Satin' by The Moody Blues.
Another part in history that opens up skateboarders eyes to older music and reinvents a feeling every time this song is heard. Evoking nostalgia of insanity juxtaposed by the beauty of Heaths skateboarding..
Some very special tricks in this part! A fave would be BS Noseblunt
