Steal the hearts of those around you just like New Zealand's fave dolphin Opononi.
The story goes a young wild female bottlenose dolphin visited the Hokianga harbour between June 1955 and March 1956. She attracted locals and tourists with her juggling skills and playful sprit. She came from the sea and became so tame she would let local children ride upon her back. Her unfortunate death broke the hearts of many and the local community buried her where she loved to play and entertain the most.
Let the sprit of Opo live on.
